EYFS
The Early Years Foundation Stage has been recently revised attached is a letter we have sent out to all parents to inform them of chnages which have been put in place due to the new Early Years Foundation Stage.
Wise Owl Nursery & Pre School Ltd follow and seek guidance from two very important documents in order to enhance our environment and learning to help each individual child develop to their full potential.
These documents are:

We also give parents support throughout their childs learning and offer them a document during home visits that gives them guidance to their childs learning and development in the EYFS.

EYFS Development Matters
This document is used daily by our practitioners to help children develop through the EYFS, to prepare them for foundation stage at school.
The seven areas of learning that children progress and develop through within the EYFS are as follows:
Prime areas:
- Physical development
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Communication and Language
Specific areas:
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the world
- Expressive arts and design
Our Early Years Practitioners observe, plan and assess childrens development daily in order for children to progress and develop to their full potential.
